We wrapped up the Quinceañera celebrations with our two high school Spanish classes, where the students recreated some important events and aspects of planning the 15th birthday coming-of-age celebration for our honorary Quinceañeras. This included budgeting, planning, and rehearsing. The Spanish students enjoyed presenting what they learned through personal speeches and presentations, such as the changing of flat shoes to formal heels, the coronation, the surprise dance, the waltz, the toast, and more. It was a fun way to conclude our unit by teaching and celebrating these festivities with the French class.
