The purpose of the technology program at Lincoln School is to facilitate, enhance and inspire learning.
To that end, blended learning begins in the first year of preschool (P1) when students begin to use iPads. For students in P1 through Grade 3, Lincoln School has a one-to-one iPad program. Macbook laptops are utilized in grades 4 and 5. As our classroom teachers integrate the use of technology within core subject areas and teach their students about digital tools, Lincoln is developing the digital citizenship of students throughout the curriculum.
At Lincoln School, we believe it is our responsibility to create responsible digital citizens. In each elementary class, technology is integrated into the student experience through a variety of ways that benefit teaching and learning.
Students take advantage of technology for their collaborative projects
From grade Primary 1 to Grade 3 every student has an iPad loaded with meaningful learning apps that help individualize their leaning. Every student in grades 3-5 has access to their own Macbook. Teachers scaffold their lessons to meet the developmental needs of their students in a safe and monitored environment.
Every Elementary student in grades Primary 1 – Grade 5 signs a responsible use agreement which outlines Lincoln’s expectations and commitment to digital citizenship and online safety.
