Faculty Spotlight: Ms. Cara Reid
Cara Reid is originally from Canada but joined Lincoln after a long international career in Tokyo, Japan. She loves teaching internationally because of the adaptability and resilience of international students, which causes her to reflect more on her own experiences. She is currently in her second year at Lincoln, teaching Elementary Learning Support and ESOL. “As soon as I arrived here, I felt like I had always been here,” she says. “That sense of community is very strong.” Cara brings a wealth of educational experience, from her early work as a library technician to helping all students achieve their best in the classroom. She has three children, with two of them being current Lincoln Snow Leopards. Cara says that people’s stories inspire her every day, and the stories from the Lincoln community are no exception. “I didn’t really know what to expect when I came, and I’m really glad that I did!”
