“I love being with the younger kids,” said Grade 1 teacher, Pam Legere. “They are so genuinely happy about the littlest things. It makes it so easy to come to work.” Pam joined the Lincoln community last year from Maine, USA, and has previously taught in Paraguay, Morocco, and Mexico. She likes teaching internationally because of the people, culture, and food. Specifically, she has enjoyed learning more about Nepali culture and customs. “This year, we get to be in school and hear the stories of Nepal first-hand from the local staff,” she said. “Being around everyone during the holidays, like Teej, is a new experience.” Her first impression of Lincoln was the close-knit community and the welcoming environment. It is wonderful to have Pam as part of the Lincoln team.
