Grade 7 Reflects on the First Month

Grade 7 is both celebrating successes as well as thinking forward with two questions during advisory – What am I doing well? and What can I work on improving? – understanding that self-reflection and metacognition are important parts of learning.

Students celebrated things like: “I am doing well communicating”, “Iistening to others”, “being prepared”, “sharing my ideas and participating more”, and “making new friends”.

Their identified areas to work on include: “sharing my ideas”, “my confidence”, “using my time wisely”, “being organized”, “listening” and “leading”.

Grade 7 advisors will support students in determining how to make the improvements they identified for themselves and continue to celebrate the successes.
