Reading and Writing Celebration in P1

The Primary 1 students had a wonderful literacy celebration today that showcased both reading and writing.  Students shared the different strategies they have learned to decode unknown words and demonstrated how they make their voice sound like a teacher or character from the story.

The students also shared their nonfiction writing which showed how they learned to brainstorm topics, talk out the steps before writing, number each step on the page, use transition words, and finally,  publish!
