Grade 1 Performs “Turk and Runt: A Thanksgiving Comedy”

Just prior to Thanksgiving, the first grade class performed the play, “Turk and Runt: A Thanksgiving Comedy”, adapted from the book by the same name, by Lisa Wheeler (The book is about a couple of turkeys trying to avoid being chosen for dinner). Students worked hard to practice their parts, and even knew their lines by heart. We were very fortunate to have many parents and special guests join us to watch the performance. In addition to the play, students performed two songs that they practiced in Music class with Ms. Iris. Their whole performance was a huge success and students were very proud of themselves. A few expressed disappointment that it was over, because they like performing so much. Luckily we have the winter program to look forward to, coming up soon!
