Service Learning with Mr. Ken 2/13/18

Mr. Ken came to visit the Grade 1 class and shared some photos he took last weekend on a bike ride around Kathmandu. On his ride, he noticed some brick factories and saw how much smoke they were creating! Mr. Ken took pictures to share with G1 about this cause of air pollution.

Then, here at Lincoln School today, we noticed some men burning trash right next door! It made the air by our school very smoky.

The students had many ideas about what our G1 class can do to help prevent this kind of air pollution in our neighborhood in the future. Some key ideas that were shared involved TEACHING, EXPLAINING, and TELLING about air pollution. G1 will continue to form a plan for taking action to help make our air cleaner!
